Irving Power Association employees give back to our community by delivering meals to the elderly and individuals with a medical need. We give paid time off each year for our employees to spend time volunteering for a cause close to their hearts.
Alicia Trena gives back by delivering groceries each week to her neighbors by volunteering with Mobile Meals for Santa Fe.
"Some of my neighbors can't go out to get groceries, so I'm happy to be able to bring them good food and give back to my community," says Alicia Trena, Controller for Irving Power Association.
Her neighbor, Bruce Goldstein, is always happy to see her every Saturday. Bruce has difficulty walking long distances but still wants to maintain his independence by living at his house. He appreciates both Mobile Meals and Alicia, with whom he enjoys catching up each week.
"It's nice to see a smiling face coming up to my door every week," Bruce says.
